Talks, field trips and events organised by west country geological organisations are publicised on this blog. Discussion about geological topics is encouraged. Anything of general geological interest is included.
I'll bet a fiver it's spheroidal weathering of dolerite. Though the largest such that I saw was football-sized, from Dudley, not deepest Bosnia.
Curious. The only thing I can think of is spheroidal weathering of something - probably a mafic igneous rock, but it is huge and very uniform.
Maybe similar to Moeraki Boulders in New Zealand?https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moeraki_Boulders
