Jurassic Coast Art Exhibition

Description
Colin Bentley returns with the second year of his three-year artistic collaboration with the Jurassic Coast Trust. 
This exhibition will be held across four days in October (Sunday 21st – Wednesday 24th) at the beautiful Symondsbury Tithe Barn, just outside of Bridport, and is proudly supported by Symondsbury Estate. 
Colin will be showcasing a stunning selection of landscapes drawn from the middle section of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site between Axmouth and the Isle of Portland, encompassing Lyme Regis, West Bay and Chesil Beach among others. 
Colin’s landscapes will be accompanied by another selection of Jurassic Coast Ambassadors’ portraits. 
Entry is free to the public and the exhibition will be accompanied by talks and other activities. For more information.

Festival Finale at Wells Museum: Geo resources in our lives

A day of inspiring talks and lunch, celebrating the finale of Mendip Rocks 2018. 
Speakers include: Prof Chris King “Mining for Diamonds” 
Doug Robinson (Bristol University) – “Wells City Building Heritage – a 350 million year old story” 
Other speakers tbc 
Also: Local fossil collections on display and view the “Mendip Rocks! Box”. 
Raffle 
£15 to include ploughman’s lunch, tea and cake.
