Plea for photo of Bath hot spring
Has anyone got a photo of the Bath hot spring please? We should like to use it for a new Earthlearningidea 'Water - a matter of taste or a taste of matter'. Your photo will be acknowledged in the activity. If you can help, please email.
Talking of Bath Hot Springs, has anyone got a recent chemical analysis of these waters ? The only one I have found is from the 1920s. As the heat is derived ultimately from the decay of uranium, I suspect they are somewhat radioactive. I seem to remember that shortly after Mme Curie announced the discovery of Radium, there was great excitement in Bath when it was also found in their waters. And no doubt Radon, Lead, zinc and other heavy metals too, radioactive and not.
