Life on Mars

Finding Life on Mars on Earth?

The author of this paper suggests that the examination of the surface of (what he calls) meteorites from Mars - actually tektites - could show whether forms of life had existed on them.

He has used these techniques to show that samples of basalt rock from hundreds of metres under the floor of the Pacific Ocean had organic compounds deposited around microscopic “tunnels”.
